                                     Style        Samples      Formatting

You need to become familiar with the above categories in order for your place cards to come out exactly right.  Style will give your choices, Formatting will give general typing information and Samples will give detailed information based on your Style choices.  If you do not see what you want, just follow the format that is closest to your style and make sure you include detailed instructions at the top of your list.

Mini Frames and Place Cards that have table numbers on the  outside back
First type the repeat wording you would like before the table numbers. If there are no words that repeat, there is no need to type anything at the top of the list. Type each name as it will appear on the place card and hit "Enter".  Under the name, type the table number exactly as you want it to read. You may choose either numeral or word format. Make sure you hit "Enter" after each entry and between each entry.

If there are two or more names, make sure there is a blank line before the names, no spaces between the names and a space after the last name. The table assignment will be on the bottom line. Word Document

 Formatting back

Hit the "enter" key following each line of the address. Keep your list in one long vertical column on the left margin with one line between each entry.  Do not worry if part of your entry is on one page and the rest is on the next.  Type it exactly as you want it to appear. Do not worry about centering, sizing or the typestyle. This is taken care of at the time the place cards are printed.

Please use MS Word, Notepad, Word Perfect or similar word processing software, please follow the guidelines below.  Sorry Excel files are not accepted at this time.

 Please:

Do put a space/line between each entry - hit the "Enter" key

Do Not use more than 1 column
Do Not use "&" unless you want it printed
 Do Not number each entry

Do Not use any database tables such as Excel
Do Not use all capital letters
Do Not use abbreviations unless you want them printed
Do Not use headers or footers
Do Not worry about paging, just keep typing continuously

Do save your list using your name as a .doc or .txt file

Sue Jones.doc    or     Jones place cards.txt
